Do-It Reviewer's Comments
Because of its smaller feature set, challenging navigation, and limited technical support, Do-It! is ranked lower than similar nutrition software programs. Do-It! supports commercial diets and offers a simple pass/fail rating on your daily nutrition goals. Modules are not integrated and you'll have to do some work to assess your progress with this program.
Do-It! offers several formats to display your health information and these displays are compatible with goals for Weight Watchers, Zone Diet and Atkins Diet plans.
There are also heart graphs that show caloric, fiber and fat information based on guidelines from the American Heart Association. The personal profile lets you graph several aspects of your health, including body fat percentage. Graphs in Do-It! deliver summaries of caloric information and summaries of calorie distribution for fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
But Do-It! doesn't offer weight calculation or body measurements. Also, the program lacks export/import capabilities and a tool to create meal plans.
Ease of Use:
The program design for Do-It! makes navigation more difficult than in the top ranked products. The simple pas/fail system and the gain/lose graphic provide quick feedback, but are very simple mechanisms. Functions are cumbersome and time consuming.
Help/Support:
Do-It! has a well-designed, content-sensitive help section. This section has screen shots with instructions on how to navigate each screen; there's a topic section that clarifies navigation further. The help section also gives detailed descriptions of each graph.
Summary:
Do-It! is a functional program that gives extensive nutritional and weight-management data. The stop and go theme is well intentioned, but other programs provide better feedback.
